Is there any reason for the pop-off valve (the shinny thing below the coil) to be right over the distributor? If you put it 180 to where it is now, it might give you better access to everything below it.

I would be a real pain to have to remove the turbo hoses to adjust the timing. Perhaps it's just the perspective of the picture that makes it look cramped.

yup tight but its tight every where in there. It was mostly thinking that if ever an IC then this would be the easiest spot to have it

CIS almost ready

Ben - as soon as the heat breaks, I'll finish the CIS connections. Do you want any pictures?

To the forum - Ben has been very helpful in providing to me a set up for CIS. It should be finished by this weekend.

Well to be fair your kit or at least part of it came from slo-bob but you surely can post pics as we have changed a bunch of it

That looks great, I was also going to suggest the valve to be attached back to the top right, pointed towards the oil filler (general area) but what you say about future IC additions, it make sense.
Can't wait for mine....

i can put it there if you guys wnat just say the word. But think about this if you need to do some dizzy work it means 2 clamps (hose clamps) and you have full access. You could also pop off the BOV and time it no problem either way it is a 5 minute deal

wherever you say it's good-- it's good. it's just a clamp. I imagine you're thinking ahead about the intercooler...... you need a deposit? would that make it happen any faster? J/K

Very cool! Is the 3.0 stock compression (8.5:1)? Or did you build it for the boost?

Jerry beat me too it,
Like he said if its just a clamp then its no problem. It would probably make for less work for an IC addition later as well.

no its the 81 compression level 9.3:1 ( I think) Its been a while since I even cared about that so I dont remember. But now it is becomin g more important. But it is just stock at this point. I may shim the heads this winter to drop compression But As of now I am only running 5 psi and it pulls like a freight train..

How do you make sure you don't get pinging? I guess that can all be soved with aftermarket. You make this look so easy!

Ben:
How did you pipe the wastegate outlet? Did you build a muffler to accept it, like a two in muffler?
