top end rebuild 3.2
Just wondering , was quoted 3,500 to do top end on 86 3.2 was expecting to pay a lot more. This is to replace valve guides, seats stem seals and flywheel sensor, polish and port heads. Does this sound unreal or what, and yes shop does a lot of porsche work.

Sounds about right, especially if their labor rate is reasonable. What's the shop rate?

Shelton,
just in case I may need to do this in the future, what shop is it, if you don't mind me asking?

That's what my mechanic quoted - The problem with quotes like this - is the while you are in there. yes $3500 for the top end.
But if you have the engine out in a 3.2 = you should really look at replacing the CHT and reference sensors and you should replace the infamous carrera fuel line at a minimum (unless they have been replaced recently)
