Question Most/Least Common Color 911?

Also were 911s available(special order) in other Porsche models colors?

I was thinking silver to be the most common.

If I had to guess red, silver and white would be the toss up for most common.

My 67 is slate gray and I have only seen one other that color in my whole life.

Just a guess here...based on the number of years each color was issued? I'd guess silver first, then white, then red. I stress, this is a guess....

Porsche Crest

Wouldn't the rarest color be on the year the least 911s were made?

my 67 looks different though I think the mid year looks like a dark metallic color where in 67 it had some green in it:

Oops wrong picture

I think that slate gray was a lot more common in the 356 era though.

Larry, beautiful car. If you don't mind me asking, what kind of seats are those? They look period correct and very supportive. I'm trying to find replacements for the failed BMW sport seat experiment in my '72.

Thanks,
Jim

Those are scat procar seats. They are fairly reasonable... I think I paid 699 for the pair. However, then I took them over to a shop in San Leandro, Ca. to make them look more correct for a porsche. I had them recovered in original german vinal.

I am glad you like them.

Thanks Larry, that's what I thought. The price seems reasonable, and the sale of my BMW sport seats + original Porsche seats should just about cover it.

I'm not sure Gurds was even available in the mid years - 1974-77. BUt it almost certainly was the most common in the 80's years, the SC's and the Carrera's.
