Original paint burgandy "2424" on my 1970 MY E. Lots of brown in the factory formula. Too many repaints get too much red

I`ve a `89 SSE in slate grey myself...whilst in a Sydney garage some 22 years ago they had a car in the showroom, in a pale blue, not unlike the slate blue, the car was factory painted to match a swatch of material from a dress...the lady in question was attending a wedding...matching a porsche to your dress now thats dressing for the occasion....Perhaps some of our Australian owners may know more...i thinks the car was from the 50`s or 60`s?

Wow lots of cool colors in this thread - one of the many things that make 911s so special. Here's mine, Copaflorio Blue, pretty rare, I've only seen one other one in person over the 26 years I've owned it. It's another color that changes alot depending on the lighting conditions.

When I was shopping for my car, I looked at a beautiful 73 targa that was Raspberry, but being a young single guy didn't want a 'pink' car. It was in awesome condition, kinda wish I woulda bought in now....

True, mine is also '2424' and looks exactly like yours with a more brown tone. It's just that in the pics it looks a bit 'reddish'

Well, I guess Sepia Brown is the least common color from what I see in this thread. I'm in the process of restoring my 72 and will keep it Sepia Brown.

Porsche Crest Oak Green Metalic

Know this is strange. Post #42 is my car. Not my picture, but definitely my car. It looks like an old photo. The color is Oak Green Metallic with dark green interior. Here is a current photo. I get lots of complements and most people are stunned that the car is 30 years old.
My vote for favorite color: Oak Green Metallic.

Dave...this would look great on your hood. It's magnetic and offers protection from stones and debris. Shoot me a PM if you are interested. Dan

I think I haven't seen a lime green (color code 137) here before...
Guess it's reasonably rare...
