Targa wind noise solution
I had been experiencing a lot of wind noise on the '90 Targa I recently purchased. After searching for a number of solutions which only helped a little I came up my own.
I purchased an automotive sponge and a roll of double sided tape. I cut the sponge in roughly 1" X 1" rectangular strips and attached it under the front lip of the roof behind where the roof seal would contact the roof. You don't want to install were it would contact the rubber seal as this would raise the lip of the roof and catch the wind. I also applied the sponge along the front of the targa frame. Wind noise is almost non-existent now. ------------------ Wayne 1990 C-4 Targa |

Wayne I've got the same problem. It sounds like you put the pieces on the targa top so it doesn't show up when the top is off right?

You are correct. The only time you can see the foam is on the Targa top when the roof is off.
