Power window motor question
Are the later motors more powerful. I noticed that a C2 window operated faster than a 78SC. Somebody told me that the C2 PW motors might be more powerful...true?

I had two very slow electric windows. Then I lubricated the mechanism in one of them. Now I have one very fast window.

Jack,
What part did you lubricate? The gears, felt channel or both? What did you use to lubricate it with? Thx, JoeA |

Joe, I lubricated the gears with grease, as well as everything I could get to that moved (including all the trapezoidal stuff). I used a graphite based powder lube on the felt runners, but I don't know that that did any good. The window runs like it has a new motor, now.

I took the inside panel out (as well as the handle, cap piece, etc.).

Jack...I took your advise, greased the heck out of everything that moved and its going up fast now.
Thanks, Joe |
