I'd like to add a couple things. First, these screws can be a royal pain in the a** as others have suggested, so don't feel bad.
Realize that there is an over-center effect when installing the lights, of sorts. You hook the top of the light onto the top of the fender than rotate it down. It should "pop' into place if all is well and you'll definitely feel it. Once you have it firmly in place, use an awl or some other probe to check the left/right alignment of the hole in the trim ring with the hole for the screw. If things are not lined up perfectly, remove the light and re-fit it. Do not attempt to install the screw until the holes line up. If you try to install the screw before everything is lined up, you'll likely cross-thread it. Once you are happy with the alignment, place some tape on top of the front bumper and get a long screwdriver with the proper size tip. I use one around 15-18 inches long. The angle the screw needs is such that the screw driver will come close to touching the bumper and you wany a screw driver long enough to get your hand out of the way so you can get the angle you need. Go slow and make sure the threads are clean and lubed. JR |

God is nothing easy on these cars. I am getting ready to do this mod in a few weeks and the directions said it takes 20 mins max to do both lights?????? I am starting to really question that ad.

I had the same problem mounting H4's (well, getting the original sugar scoops off the 22 year old rubber seals was the first problem) and used the same techique as nesslar successfully. With the H4 trim ring in place on top, I could not hold it down in proper alignment with the screw hole.
I intalled the Sucro relay first -- wouldn't go without it even with stock lights. Paul

Good catch though - although you'd be surprised at how many people here grow the banana trees!

You should paint those rings--will look like they belong on the car then.

I used one of the screws at the lower front of the fuse box. I've got photos at home, but there are several photos of installations here on the forum. I had to extend the ground wire to reach the common ground point just to the rear of the fuse box, but otherwise, all wires and the relay itself were just perfect.
