flow rate of 84-86 injector is 22# per hour. 87-89 may be the same..or very close.

Do you know if the flow rate was based on a standard fuel pressure of 3.0 bar(43.5 psi) or Carrera fuel pressure which is much lower?

Bill,

Do you have the flow rates for Bosch # 0 280 150 158 @ 300kPa?

I did a search on injector flow that took me to this post. A great tool for researching technical data that cannot be found anywhere else.

Joe

I had Carrera injectors measured at ~230cc at 300kpa. Not certain which ones they were, but I am reasonably confident they were 158s. They were having trouble supporting 250hp on my engine without excessive fuel pressure, so I stumped up for 803 (944 Turbo) injectors.

I gave the part number you list a quick search and came up with this (extensive) list. Note that there is some variance in the test pressure and that some (eg the 158s) don't have a test pressure.

My 803s tested around 330cc at 300 kpa, for reference.

I found that LT1 Multec injectors PN 1709004 with a flow rate of 24 lbs @ 3 bar (43.5 psi) work very will on my 86 3.2 in case anyone is interested.

They seem to enhance performance all around particularly, low end and result in a very smooth idle too.

Cheers,

Joe

Are you talking like Corvette LT1???? If so how does the cost compare to the Bosch injectors?

These Corvette injectors are the ones I'm using:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1854761238

I suspect the 28 lb injectors would be even better. The reason I feel this way is because our stock 3.2 injectors which are rated at 22lbs are most likely rated at stock Carrera fuel pressure of 36psi which is quite a bit lower than the standard 43.5psi that the LT1 injectors are rated, so as soon as I can get a hold of some I'll let you know.

Here's a set that I've been considering:

or

Here's a picture of a Bosch and Multec injector side by side:
