Anyone find a 10 Pfenning coin?

I know this is a crazy question....

I found one under a carpet, head's up, like it was placed deliberately at the factory.

Did the workers place "good luck charms" in their jobs?

Thanks
Al

New car? If not, I'll bet it was an owner...

I found a 1 pfennig coin and some Swiss change when I pulled the rear seat cushions out. I put them in the glovebox.

Just former messy owners.

I found a live 30-06 cartridge under the back seat and a live 12 gauge shotgun shell in the map pocket in front... Oh yeah my turbo had "deer whistles" attached to the front bumper... Doesn't everyone go hunting with their 911??

Vehicle has been in our family since new.... And we don't use Pfennings much.

Found where it would have been hard to wind up accidentally.

I polished it and will leave somewhere for the next owner.

The previous owner of my 993 (now sold) left his fanny pack in the back seat with a loaded 38 handgun... nice!

No, but when I worked for a BMW dealer in the mid-70s, we routinely found empty Bavarian beer bottles in the trunk or under the back seat.

we call that the backseat lottery at our shop......you'd be amazed what you'll find under the rear seats of 70's-80's gm cars

Best score ever - was replacing the ignition switch on a mid-80s SAAB 900 turbo and came up with over $100 including a $50 bill under the center console (yes, the ignition switch was between the seats). Never made quite THAT much on that job before or since.

There was a bunch of fine cut red glitter under the carpets of my 82SC when I bought it.

It was the 80's after all.............

Bell,

Care to elaborate on some of your finds? We should start a "what have I found in my car?" thread.

I got some garden state parkway tokens and a red fake fingernail under the passenger seat.

Not my car... but if I can hijack my own thread.... True story.

I was cleaning out an apartment of a deceased family member. I found $50K in 100's hidden in the back of an antique.

I turned it over to the closest relative.

Never got a thank you. Go figure.

I found a couple of belgian francs (I guess) under the pedal box of a 1980 911 I worked on once. Those francs were the only profit my buddy and I made on that car. :-(
The might be put there for good luck - seriously. That's what someone told me once.

Not a 911 but one time we put new tires on a customers car and he wanted the spare to match. We pulled the spare from the trunk (it had never been on the car) It was full of battery cables. Must have had 20 cables inside the spare. Short ones, long ones all brand new. That sucker would have really went hopping had it ever seen the road. We took the cables out hung them on the wall and mounted the tire. Just about replenished the cable rack.

Last week I found a very flat Burger King wrapper under the carpet in my '66 911. I found some .22 bullets under the carpet in a '73 911T. I found a bunch of rust under the undercoating in a '63 B Coupe.

The best find to date is a Mont Blanc pen under the front seat in an '89 Carrera.

I found two Japanese coins in under the carpets in my ROW German purchased, mooved to Japan and now here in Australia 89 3.2.

I keep them in the door bins as lucky charms.
