whoopsi, forgot one. Also, I think the iroc tail on your car, along with the Martini graphics, would be totally killer...
and for fun...

Great stuff guys, thanks! Really gives the car a different look.
Black Fuchs? There is a picture somewhere here with my car and black Fuchs. It is a pretty plain look. |

You must know something I don't.
Car has been back at Eurotech for a month. Adding mirrors, some paint repair work and now a change on the rear reflector some suggested earlier. Not adding the RS badge after seeing the overwhelming negative response. Which is why I asked. Here in the original Fuchs look. Not my favorite.

Nah, seems we just thought you were being clever in mockery. As the PO of the subject car, I do appreciate that someone notices these things though...

I obviously don't spend enough time on Pelican to keep up.
Where is the thread on Craig's car? I thought his Turbo RS signature on the deck lid of your past 930 was pretty creative and appropriate myself. I suspect his earlier 3.6 SC with something similar is where I first got the idea for my own. If anything it is a compliment to Craig's style for sure but I ceratainly wasn't mocking anyone's idea or car. |

You can`t lose either way with that car. l mounted a "Diesel" badge from a very vintage french car on the carbon fiber 993TT tail of my car.The cool chrome script againt the deep carbon fiber weave looks awesome and from a distance it looks like a factory"turbo" badge.

1. polished or satin metal finish caps on the wheels 2. blacken out the tailight housings The next idea would be: 1. same as above with the caps 2. blacken the tailight housings AND the entire rear deck (and on that pic you had here with the rear shot, another thing that could be cool is if someone did this same treatement to that photo, and do a reverse graphic of the PORSCHE or 911SC stripe going across the decklid, above reflector, so that the text and stripes would be the original blue color, surrounded by the satin black) if you had a pic of the front view, I would also suggest with the latter idea to also do a satin black wide stripe on the trunk, coming from the air inlet, staying in the "groove" all the way down to the nose. OK, I will stop now. You did ask for suggestions! I really like your car with the black centers, but I think it would snap if you had the polished caps.

I love silver Carrera stripes with silver centred Fuchs on colours like yours Dane, but I think it's pretty sweet as it stands. Glad you chose no rear badge and look forward to seeing what your rear panel alterations and the mirrors do for the appearance.
I really like the black-centred look on your car, would love to see it with the 'from-the-press-then-anodised' finish that George stuck with on the Orange. Some guys say the lighter centres make the wheels look a little bigger in diameter (below), which I think would look good on yours too. Whatever you do, it's a good looking car and all credit to you mate.

Which one are you referencing Mike? Do you have any more of the 911SC graphics from before? Is your operation for this back in service yet?

Mike I never paid much attention to the graphics. Didn't realise you did them. Have any suggestions for my car with something over the top like the Martini graphics?
Will a big set like that hurt the paint long term? And and estimate on cost? |

Um....no, vinyl won't hurt the paint as long as the PAINT is done right. Some people apply graphics too soon, or to paint that has less than perfect prep........
My ride has had 20-30 apps and has had only one "lift" when the vinyl was replaced....of course we blamed the long gone sander and prep weenie.....3 years ago..... There's always a risk.....anyone who says diff is an idjut.....

Really super car, up there with the best.
What it needs is some patina. Drive the tires off it, wash and wax. That is one of those paint jobs that look even better in person. Looking forward to the day... |

Hey Mr Cyclist,
I have rather conservative tastes, and an aversion to being a cop magnet, so I would opt for the silver Carrera graphics. (I do like the look but wonder if the blue in the Martini graphics would clash with your blue.) You might also consider a IROC tale with the graphics to keep your vehicle dynamics together. From everything I have read, there is a slight advantage with that tale over the duck. Also drill out the Porsche panel in the back for the mean look. Those 3 things together should transform the look of your car and no doubt add 5mph to you top end.
