SCWDP update!

Well, I have more info on pricing today for various items. I wanted to toss it out here to make sure there is enough interest move forward. The designs that are being considered are:

SHIRTS:

The second one would be without the color. The shirt colors at this point would be black, white, and athletic grey. Shirt prices could be in the $12-15 range I think. They would be a nicer 6.1 oz 100% cotton shirt, or the Haynes BeefyTees.

Static interior stickers and exterior stickers (adhesive type): would use same basic designs initially as t-shirts. Might add designs later. The stickers could be priced somewhere between $2-5, depending on the design (more colors=more money).

Banners (apprx. 42" x 30"): need to know how serious of a want these are, as they would probably end up being in the $50-60 range, maybe a little more.

Also, I found a nice metal travel mug. Any interest in those. They could be somewhere in the $10-13 range.

Please do not hold me to these prices, they are pretty close I think, without having the final details ironed out with the printer. Just wanted to see what you all thought about it.

One final thing is to see if anyone was interested in something like this for something a little different:

Thanks,Shane

Looks really good Shane! You bin doin' a ton a'work!

But why is the color eliminated in the second logo - the two Porsche colors relate to the Porsche crest and kinda make it "pop", no?

I gotta say, I don't like the gray perimeter band that has been added to the crest. I think it "thins" out the impact of the original all black border and negates the nice visual touch of the "911 SC" lettering "fusing" with the bold black border that it sits atop.

I find these last two issues disconcerting because I think the designer of the original logo "got it right" and I feel hesitant about changing the design, since it is not "ours" but "his" design.

Given that, now that I am postulating and exhorting, I can understand and agree with eliminating the color for the same reason - I don't feel comfortable altering an artist's work if the artist isn't in the loop.

Maybe this seems like nit-picking to some - but not to artists!

Also, sticking to black & white on that original logo will allow it to be printed on black or white shirts by going negative when the fabric is black.

The prices are right on realistic, Shane - I'll be in for multiples of both logos if they are both offered!

Oh yeah - If I had a Hawwg or Hawwg powered Porsche I'd buy into the skull & crossbones - but, I vote no.

Keep the updates coming!

David

I really, really like the first image. Be willing to spend lots (within reason; I own both an SC and 914 race car) on these items. Just layin' back until we're ready to take over.

I will take T-shirts and window stickers/decals of the first image. One of each color T-Shirt in XXXL Tall or 3XT and 4 window decals. Just let me know when they are done, how much $ with shipping to 80538 and where I need to send the money.

Now that the 993 is sold, I'll be looking for a more proper 911 for my garage.

Nice T-shirts!

"Ya wouldn't be runnin' no steenkin' gravity cast wheels on them rides, would ya neighbor!"

You MUST be jokin! Wouldn't run something that's structurally defective by design in a high stress area. [!] SDR has test-n-tune this Saturday for the Parade. You should take a road trip and come down to the stadium to watch the fun. I'm taking the 914 to its first AutoCross in 15 years. After years of racing (and being the ex-Chief Driving Instructor in Potomac Region), I'm being told I need an instructor. Don't know where he/she is going to sit (no passenger seat, you see). Anyway, it should be good for a few laughs. . .See you Saturday?
