Question about wheel sizes difference between 911, 911 turbo, etc.

On 911 turbo 930, from manufacture, is it true that it has 1" adapter in the rear and none in the front?
My car is converted to wide body from a normal carrera (87). It is currently wearing Fuch 16x7x9 (turbo wheels). It has 1" adapter in the front, and 2" adapter in the rear. Does that mean the hub in normal carrera is 1" front and 2" rear narrower compare to the stock turbo 930 car?
How about 964, 965, 993, 996, etc? If anyone knows.
Thanks.

I have both a 1987 930 and a 1973 911 converted to a "wide body". The 930 is completely stock and has 7" front and 9" rear Fuchs wheels. It has 21mm spacers on the front and 23mm spacers on the rear. When I bought the 911, it also had Fuchs 7" fronts and 9" rears, and the same 21mm and 23mm spacers front and rear, i.e. identical to the turbo.

The 21mm spacers on the wide-body 911 fit fine, but the 23mm spacers on the rear were way too narrow. This is because the rear control arms on the Turbo are completely different than those on a 911, the 911 being considerably narrower. To get the wheels to look right I had to go to 2" spacers, as you observe in your post.

I really didn't like the 2" spacers, so I have since gone to Lindsey wheels on the '73 911, with proper offsets so I don't need such thick spacers.

So that means the differences between the 911 and 930 is only about 4mm in the front and a little more than 1" in the rear. Is that right?

According to the info I have(which could certainly stand confirmation) 930s used
front
pn#930.341.611.00 hubcentric 21m spacer '75-77
pn#477.501.701 hubcentric 21m spacers '78-80
and
rear
pn# 930.331.611.04 hubcentric 28mm spacer '75-89

Up through '80 the 911 and 930 front hubs were the same, '81 -89 front 930 hubs are 21mm wider and so don't use the spacer.

the 930 trailing arm places the 930 hub further outboard than the 911.

964, 993 etc are totally different

umm... there are 2 responses and we got 2 different answers here. Roger said his 87 930 has 21mm adapter up front. Bill said 81 -89 front 930 don't use spacer. Which is true? Or these car are hand built so they are all difference?

I guarantee the front #s, just don't have a rear to measure.

Not that different, even the 993 rear can be modified for use on a 911 not on a 964 though, go figure.

My car is a 911 converted to wide body, Fuch 16x7x9, 1" adapter front, and 2" adapter rear. What is the max sizes of wheels I can fit in and the car will still be able to drive (I know if I can fit 18x10x12 in there, the car might not be able to move).
