That sounds great. How about we try and meet at Bayside at 8:00AM, then cruise up the beach to the State Park and AutoX. Does that work for you. I may get a few of the boys from this area also. Let me know if this time works and I'll get an email out. Paul

I had some old pics (film) from '99. I'll see who I can round up from this end. 8:00 may be a bit early, I doubt they start running much before 10:00, so maybe 9-9:30?

I have been told that the Bayside gets very crowded later, either we do the 8:00 time or maybe another place.
Maybe we could meet someplace between the Plymouth area and here that would allow us to get back down here around 10:00 or so. Any good diners up that way? Orchid diner or Shawmut diner in New Bedford.

There is an IHOP in Ranyham, right on 44, that might be a good place - could handle a crowd would give a nice ride down to Westport, we could do the rt. 18 on to 105 lakeville area etc. Fall River is fine however I am not familar with place and size of restaurant could be an issue. Guys are getting itchy to drive so might end up with large group. Paul

FYI, the IHOP you're talking about gets crowded fast, if you're looking for food first. Well, at least on Sundays it does.

Most breakfast places are jammed on Sunday mornings. I was just hoping to find a spot that could handle some people - so, at this point here is the plan: We will meet somewhere in southeastern Ma., we will take a ride somewhere in southeastern Ma., our final destination will be Horseneck Beach, rt 88 State Beach (second parking lot) , Westport, Ma. meeting around 10:00-10:30 to check out SCCA AutoX.
Further info will be posted before Sun.

Hi Paul,
Count me in for the August 4th run. Starting June 2, there is a Cruise Night, every Ttuesday at The Vocational School, Just over the Bourne bridge. Usually around 200 or so cars. Food available. Mostly Hot Rods, but some of us Porsche/Sports Car people attend. Starts at 6:00 p.m. Steven http://www.shamrods.com/cruisenews.html |

Just checked into the Horseneck Beach meet and it's 3 hours from me in Maine so I will pass on this one. Any closer to Maine like Boston or Portsmouth or in Maine?

Mark, you'll want to park next door etc to IHOP with that splitter... it's a steep entrance.

The Raynham IHOP sounds good to me. There are some really nice roads between there and Horseneck. I'm going to the Sox game Sat night, so hopefully I can get up early enough!
Should we say 9:00 there? That gets us to the beach around 10:30 which should be good timing for watching some runs and getting a bit of warmth in the day. I haven't checked the weather yet. My brother says there are 44 cars signed up as of now, so I guess if anybody wanted to run their car it would be possible. That would put them out of our leisurely schedule though. He has a co-worker who has a 914 powered open wheel car that is running, that's how I found about the event being resurrected.

Excellent, We have a place to meet. IHOP at 8:45 - 9:00 this Sunday morning, Ranyham Ma. on rt.44. From there we will travel to Westport, rt88 Horseneck Beach State Park, second parking lot - watch a little AutoX, or perhaps take our own pigs out if they let us.
And if time allows Mr. Garfield knows of some great roads - most of them DEAD END - but thats' another story for another time. I'll leave Duxbury at 6:30 and take the fun roads west if any one wants to join me. Paul

Mark,
I'll try to verify the schedule's open & go from there... My Cab's getting a new top this Thursday / Friday, hopefully will be done in time for the weekend. As for making the corner, if I get there ahead of everyone, that would qualify as "before-spin", right Paul?

Still on for SEMBC breakfast and cruise for tomorrow. Might be showers early but looks like it will burn off quickly. Chris G and I are leaving Duxbury at 7:00 to do a blast through the State Forest and then up to Raynham. We are meeting at pull off on rt14 next to rt 3 at cranberry bog area in Duxbury. If anyone wants to join us, let me know so we don't leave without you.

There's a big bicycle race in the Forest on Sunday the 19th. Many roads will be closed and the area will be very busy.
