I was looking forward to this event, but I friend is flying his plane to Atlanta for the Petit LeMans, and I've got the right seat! There's always a conflict!
Take plenty of pictures, guys.

I will be there early and parked in the non-judged area (duh). Brown 911T that looks nice from 10 ft, with cookie cutters and black aftermarket recaros

Minor detail - It's this Sat the 26th not Sun (Sun is the 27th)
I also was told they are collecting a $20.00 donation for Porsche Only Parking to help pay the cost of the event. This link has the PDF version: http://www.porschenet.com/PDF_files/PorscheFest09.pdf

Dezzmo,
Thanks for the tip. By the time I got out from under my workload, it was sold. :-( Maybe we can say hello at in Newport this Saturday. I'd love to meet some more P-car folks in this area. Phil |

Hate to miss this as it looks to be a great event but just got back from three days of kick arse driving, at the "Rally in the Valley", Blueridge Mtns.,Staunton, Va., and need to focus on work and home this weekend. Please take lots of pics and post.

Still planning on bringin Mikey to the Concours if I can. Look for the black POS Volvo 850 wagon. Still trying to maintain my image as eurotrash I guess.
![]() God I miss my 911, and it hasn't even been a week yet.

Southcoast Phil,
Are you interested in looking at a 90 C2 coupe my brother has for sale; black on black, 88k miles, H&R sport springs, mechanically very good, cosmetically has a few issues, low end of the price range. I could drive it down to Newport if interested, otherwise I'd like to take my targa as it looks like it will be a nice day. Either way lets hook up. Jack |

Just heard that there are 21 928's registered for the Concours, and I know more will be showing up on the day of the event. I am bringing my 964 Targa and have registered.
And as scarceller said, non entrants who have driven their Porsches to the event can park on the lawn and the club will ask for a donation but it is not mandatory. Keep in mind if you don't drive a Porsche the Preservation Society will look for a fee to walk the grounds so please bring your Porsches. If you are an NER PCA Member and can't bring your car, find me on Saturday and I can help get you a pass (very limited numbers). John Bergen NER PCA President

So, what's the process for someone who's non PCA / NER, and has sold their 911 last week?
I don't mind making a donation, what are we talking about, $20 to park a POS somewhere, or since it's not p-car, am I out on the street somewhere & walking to the event, or (gasp!) not allowed past the bouncer? ![]() Thanks!

Hey John, very nice chatting with you this morning. Amazing turnout!
Attn: Jim Garfield, I saw your car & didn't get to say hi this morning, so, "Hi!" Also the same to Ginny, thought I saw her burgundy 911 there as well. Saw some other familiar cars from our runs as well. Afshin, Carl, Steve & the rest - nice seeing you all again! Mike & I had a great time this morning, but I felt so out of place without my car... like I was "that guy". ![]() Saw some amazing rides, lots of great folk enjoying the day. No worries though, I parked the Volvo in the hired help's lot on the other side of the stone wall... ![]() best to all!

Sorry I missed you Fred.
A very nice venue, and some interesting cars. I had a lot of fun talking with these two from outside Worcester (Woosta for you non - New England types) that have owned this '55 pre-A Speedster for 35 years. About how long ago I sold mine ...... now I feel old. Great license plate. ![]() ![]() The view from The Elms: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Some of those 356s were amazing...like that blue 64 SC and the green 4 cam...
So many nice and interesting cars...my head was on a swivel. I brought my dad and now he's asking me a lot of questions about 3.2's whereas he'd previously been set on a Z4 coupe.

Andrew and I showed up around 9am and we stayed for only a couple of hours (Andrew had other obligations) so I had to drive him back. I'm sorry I missed you guys (Jim, Fred, etc...) but I did meet a lot of great people there.
IMO I think the 356's stole the show ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Tim, I saw your car when I arrived and when I checked back a little later it was gone. Sorry that I missed you. That putty colored A with the green interior was very nice.

It was great meeting you and your son. What a great way to spend a beautiful Saturday. My boys were runners for the Full Concours judges, and my oldest now knows all the ins and outs of what they look at. Someday maybe I will enter the Full class... Thanks again for coming. John
