German Car Day/Brookline, Ma.

Dave
This weather is just nuts. I've been afraid to post anything about this Sun. at Larz Anderson thinking I would jinx it. I am planning on heading up if the weather is not bad. A few of us are planning on meeting at Reitzl Porsche Audi around 7:45 Sun. AM.

We had a few cars from the "Breakfast" gang last Sun. for the Heritage show. Great location, probably about 35 cars, usually around 100+, it did burn off and was sunny. Total of 4 Porsches.
I'll post a few pics when I get home today.
regard,
Paul

Forecast does not look good, rain and strong winds. I'm thinking no go on this one unless that yellow thing in the sky has a chance of poking out.

Ah Guys,
Sorry, been a little lax in "Breakfast Club" runs. I just went through three weeks of the flu (pig related I know not) but man was I down for count. Been doing the work hussle, as in trying to find some, 35 years and I've never seen it so slow.
A chance I'll head up to Lime rock this Sat for ALMS but weather does not look great for Sat.
I'll try to put a run together for beginning of Aug. will let you know soon.
Fred - do I see a longhood in your future?, shoulder doing fine, thanks
Paul

Lime rock Park Saturday

In the Porsche corral. Mark (Buckterrier), unbelievably, I didn't get a shot of your really great car. Sorry about that. It was great to meet you. Had a terrific time meeting folks and talking Porsches in person instead of online for a change. Must do it again very soon.

Huh!? You post pics but no captions!?? C'mon, give us a little info! Some great cars there!

BTW, I haven't seen a crowd like that at Lime Rock in a looong time. I'm surprised, actually, it was JUST the ALMS race, the support races were rather uninteresting to me, at least, and it was $70 (!!!) to get in! (At next weekends ALMS race in Mid Ohio, it's the ALMS, World Challenge AND Indy cars and it's $40 bucks, I think.)

Well I don't know from day to day whether she wants the house or doesn't, and if she wants it the 911's gotta go to help re-finance for her. Where I end up will dictate whether or not I keep her too.

The SHO is sold pending pickup hopefully this week, so the 911 will be the only ride for me. Did a valve adjust this weekend, ordered up a new cap & rotor to replace the one that is surprisingly looking a little baked already. She got new plugs too while in there. So, hopefully she'll be good until next year, but I'd hate to have to drive her through the winter. Would break my heart I think, but I'll be down to 1 car only. Thinking about a "beater" 3.2L coupe (~$10k) something I wouldn't feel guilty about treating as a year round driver, or maybe a mid-90's Bimmer M3 or an '00-'02 Audi S4 if there's enough coin left after the re-fi.

Anyway, hope all's well, wish I could have made it out to Lime Rock with everyone.

I apologize my friend; I didn't do a very good job of gathering information on the pictures I took. I will do my best:
1.912 (forgot owners name)
2. Paul's beautiful wailing wench
3. Jim Garfield's great 911
4. Assorted metal
5. At left, my backdated lightweight '78 911 hotrod and at right Ron's (gumby) terrific T
6. I believe this is John from NYC's 1973 RS

Thanks Mark! Love the 'assorted metal"...what a contrast! the 356 is cool with the silver hardtop. Not a common look. I'd kill for the orange GT3~
