Carrera A/C Fuse / Relay Questions (One more time...)

I removed the A/C last year and am wondering about the fuse & relay on the fuse panel.

The schematic states that fuse number 2 is for booster fan, A/C, & electric seats.
Since both seat switches don't work can I just remove this fuse?
I'm asking because of the copper conductors linking fuses 2, 3 & 4.
Will removal of fuse two have an adverse effect on 3 & 4 as a result?

Also - Would removal of the A/C relay on the fuse panel have any effect on fuses 3 & 4 as well?

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Kato

The links are on the hot side vs the lower fused side, so they will have no impact on fuse removal. Relay #6 is for the AC condenser blow & looks safe to remove too.

Thanks Ian. Just wanted to be sure.

So why are those links placed like that?

Do they supply power in parallel across fuses 2, 3, &4?

Yes, they do.

Reason: Teutonic efficiency. Simpler than more wires to strip & route.

Re: Fuse#2

Do you know what 'booster fan' the schematic is referring to? (I am assuming that it is A/C related)

There is also a relay at position 'F' (or close to that position) for this booster fan as well.

All 3 fuses are constant power from battery, big supply wire, not switched by ignition, and jumpers are on the non-fused side. So you could take it out...

But why not just leave the fuse in there? It might make a nice spare to get you home someday.... ditto for the AC relay...

True enough .... I am just trying to reduce the chance of a short with these dangling plugs at various locations in the car. I suppose that the chances of that occuring are unlikely.

Perhaps I'll just leave them in...

Besides ... I just checked Bentley and it lists that relay for the power windows. I'll have to check it out..
