ITB's Anyone ?
Hey guys,
I've been developing a new product and wanted to share. I'll be debuting them at my booth at the GAF next week in Ventura. I just thought my fellow Pelicanites might want a sneek peak. Cheers! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Are you ready to post specs? If you are, please. If not I will see you at GAF.
I'll see you at GAF anyway! ![]() |

These ones have 48mm butterflies tappered down to 40mm ports. The trumpets are also CNC tappered, all the shafts are ball bearing supported, etc. The air cleaner is integrated as well as TPS provisions. I haven't really put together a comprehensive spec list yet, hope to have it by the show.

What are you using for linkage? Have you thought about moving the injector up a little in the manifold?
Cheers

Thanks guys,
turbo version ? definitely in the works. I want a set for my car! linkage? I have a couple draft designs, haven’t decided which one yet. availability? Imminent high injectors? Maybe an option if there is enough demand pricing? Less than TWM’s but much better quality |

Jeff, here is a shot from the top. It didn't turn out very good because of all the flash wash. They really do look much better in person.

Yes, less than TWM's and keep in mind these are not cast. everything is machined, the throttle bodies and even the trumpets are all 100% CNC'd.
Here's another design aspect that I am proud of. The trumpets are extreemly easy to change. They actually screw into the base plate. So, different legths can easily be adapted for different applications. For example, a racer might want a shorter stack for a high-end track like Willow and a longer stack for a grunt track like Sears Point. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I am assuming you can make them for different intake port sizes for the various heads as well?
Very nice idea with the trumpets! Cheers

Ok as im about 2 weeks away from buying set of TWM's this thread couldnt have come at a better time, and hence I have some questions. I know high butterlies are good for high RPM race engines but what about street motors? will driveability be poor with the high butterflies? Will high butterflies cause any issues using a MAP sensor based FI system? and do these intakes come with vacume ports for such sensors?
Thanks Steve

Hi Steve,
These will work great for the street and driveability would be excellent along with throttle response. They do have vacume ports (below the butterflies) for MAP sensors. Each throttle body has a port so you can gang them to even out the signal. What ecu are you planning on running? Most NA systems are TPS based while MAP based are usually used on forced inducted motors. |
