Midnight mumbling... I wonder if a can of sea foam or some diesel in a tank would help? Anyone knows?

Okay, after seeing these pictures, I just had an engine O.......

Un-be-liev-able!

So, what was the final damage (i.e. cost)?

Too true. For what we are spending this year having our back yard and deck redone I should be able to build one heck of a race car. Or two or three.

Beautiful engine BTW. Don't sell the car.

Thanks for the clarification! I'm happily single, so the figures didn't make sense to me For $7k, it's sounds very reasonable for all the work done!! Congrats!!

Super_Dave_D:

I know what you mean about keeping the wife happy!! These young folk will figure it out someday. Ha. I just got done buying her a new stove and some knitting projects for the Winter months.

Good job with the engine and cost controls. Thanks for this very informative thread and all the wonderful pictures of your hard work.

Ah....now to REALLY enjoy the fruits of your efforts.

Man its amazing - runs like champ!! Its killing me to baby it through its break in but im doing it!! I normally don't drive to work but once a week but I need to get some miles on it so it's a daily driver for 1000 miles.

The coolest part is that it doesnt pose as a bug fogger when I start it up!

Dave, are the parts powdercoated red & silver? And if so do you know what quality powder it was, urethane, TGI, polyester, acrylic? I'm asking as my engine is torn down for a top end and I also want to spruce up the engine
Thanks, btw... BEAUTIFUL engine!!
