I don't think he'll get that kind of money for them.. nice, yeah they are... but almost 10k.. nah. not in my mind. I could have also done with out the polished finish on them... looks to much like chrome to me.

No way these will get top dollar with a non-factory finish on them.

Just say: "NO"! I agree with the others that would have preferred a more factory finish...

Center caps retail value is $550? I don't think so.

If he refinishes them, he will get very close the asking price.

Cheers

They are nice wheels, but what is tire availability like for those sizes? 15" tire selection is getting pretty poor.

there are a few tire choices, just not cheap. Michelin vintage racing for one, about $400+ per tire.

For the genuine deal, his price is not that ridiculous. I agree he'd get more with original finish though.

I agree it was foolish to get them polished up like that (crazy, actually), but at least they aren't chromed. And putting them back to factory finish would only cost a fraction of what the wheels are worth, so it's not that significant. (Probably cost a couple hundred per wheel to anozide and paint).

Thanks for stopping by and welcome to our auction!

You are bidding on a set of four 15" x 9" & 15" x 11" Porsche RSR Fuchs original factory wheels. We just had these completely restored by Al Reed Polishing in Anaheim, California and have NOT been driven on since. We have these in our secure storage in our Van Nuys location. The wheels are absolutely stunning and are finished in the proper polished finish with satin black paint between the spokes. Center caps are polished and crests were hand painted by Al Reed as well. These original RSR wheels are virtually impossible to find nowadays. We've already sold two sets of these on eBay to satisfied customers and this is our last set. Once this set is gone, we have NO MORE! We fully inspect every set to make sure they pass our quality inspection before shipping them to you.
This description makes no sense to me. Obviously these folks know the value of those wheels so why were they purposely refinished in that manner? That is nowhere near the proper finish as stated.

I also don't understand the pricing on these wheels, who uses them? I abondoned mine when the tires became obsolete. They're useless. Even those with RSR clones don't use 15" wheels. The only use, I would think, would be museum cars.
I'm thinking of mounting my 9s on the garage wall and using them as an air hose reel.

I agree there probably isn't a huge market for them, but there still are guys who are going to want them to run on their RSR or RSR clone, and are willing to pay relatively big bucks for them.

You may want to sell your RSR wheels, buy a hose reel, and keep the (substantial) change!

There's a set-up just like that in the paddock at Lime Rock. BBS, though, I think.

Well, I just sent a pair of 9s to be refinished, no pimpin polish either

For the hose reel, you would like the one I'm building, take one bent RSR strut, use a a standard hub, use a Fuchs center that was over milled for 3 piece wheels, a 2" inner & a 11.5X16 for an outer
