Engine dies while coasting-restarts slow.

Last week while on the LIE I thought i detected a flat spot while coming off a short coast at 50mph. When I depressed the accelerator, the car took a second to respond. It seemed like the DME system didn't want to reawaken. I know that it shuts off the injectors while coasting which is normal.
Yesterday, it just plain died. I pulled off and couldn't get it to restart immediately. Once I waited for about two minutes, it kicked over like nothing happened.
It's a '90 C2.
Any ideas? Thanks.
FRED

Have you tried replacing the DME relay? This seems to be a simple and common "shotgun" approach.

Check and replace as appropriate all vacuum lines.

Good luck.
