Yep, we got the 335s mounted and the rear fenders rolled/recontoured to accomodate them:
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() next, we'll make fianl adjustments to the front fenders, set up the rough ride height, then begin disassembling for powdercoat. RSR coil over reinforcements on the rear crossmember come next...

WOW! This project looks like its progressing nicely. Any ideas about which engine platform you will be using in this beast?

BTW, the previous engine from this car will be available for purchase.
It's an '87 3.2, from ECU to exhaust tips complete, with a 2 page build sheet! This thing was built RIGHT. Low mileage. Let me know if any of you want specs on it - I'll be happy to accomodate, as it becomes fund-raising for something seriously demented to power this car now that it has NBA-sized shoes...

This car is cool, but the more distant picture which showed the shop and other projects shows me that you guys have your hands full! Great stuff! Winter is a busy time, eh?

Keith,
I'm curious to know more about the powdercoating of the tub on this project and Matteo's car. Prior to PC'ing the tub do you complete your bodywork (all metal welding, etc) then bake the PC? When do the body fillers get applied if any are used...is this done after the coating? I'm considering powdercoating my tub once I complete my welding/modifications but am still confused about the sequence of steps. My thought to sequence are: 1. Make changes to body such as flares/drip rail deletion/stiffening mods. 2. Hammer and dolly to desired shape/fit 3. Strip entire tub by either blasting/dipping. 4. Powdercoat tub (normal coating or primer coating?) 5. Finishing body fillers/smoothing of worked areas. 6. Base color coat/clear coat. Again thanks for sharing the wonderful work you guys do! Helmethead
