I don't think anyone has doubt regarding his knowledge and products, but rather the fact that he doesn't provide any feedback regarding outstanding orders etc.

I think we all agree he does great work but I know I'm at a loss as to how to get in contact with him and find out what is happen with the cams/springs I am waiting for. I have tried phoning and emailing, living is Australia these are the only options I have.Is there anyone out there that lives near him and help out by dropping by and finding out some information ?

Seems like he is MIA again. Waiting for my right side camshaft and a set of performance springs.

not to steal the thread but I'm having the same difficulty with another 'vendor'. Was told 2 months on a job. It's now been 3 and 1/2 months and I can't get a hold of them.

If there's extended wait time, then all that's necc. is to say so,. at least a client knows the deal going in. If needed quickly, then the client has the option to take that path. ....not informing me would not be cool. Come on,..all ya' goota' do is say so.....CLEARLY this guy's work is some of the best (so, THAT's not the question here).....
I agree with others who spoke of good comm......if it's gonna' be late, so be it. Very late? So be it.....just communicate it. To make discovery of delays AFTER the fact is discomforting,..and to throw in NO comm? No way,..no excuses. People will WAIT for good work (at least, I would), as long as I know what the real deal is. As to business cycles (mentioned by someone earlier), it may be the season.......swamped....overloaded,..STILL,..OK, but needs to be communicated...I really think most could deal with the (communicated) facts, even if not entirely as expected or promised. We'll grumble, *****, moan, scream, grind teeth BUT,..will get through it. (life's short)....but to be "in the dark" for extended periods?,..well,....mmmm? (and, certainly, 90% of the success stories will not "justify" the darkness......consistency is key)..... I can't speak personally as to camgrinder's services but his reputation is quite good.....I only know what I read here. I'd certainly ask the right questions to attain an understanding of timelines......I'd probably be OK with (slight) delays, considering his reputation.....but I would expect those to be communicated. Otherwise, patience is (not?) a virtue. I'm sure it will work it's way out in GREAT performance!!!!!! Best, Doyle

I've been trying since August - my cams were ready for shipping but he was out of performance springs - so I paid extra for racing springs so I could get it all shipped - then he went off radar again and nothing shipped. frustrating !

He may be good at grinding cams, but based on his communications skills, I will never use him.

cams
WebCam I have been using them for 30 years. You have to know EXACTLY what you want to order. Never a problem when ordering correctly. 951-369-5144 in California.

time to bump this thread back to the top, and add my name to the list of the unsatisfied and frustrated.
my cams and rockers went out late July, and John has not been in touch since, despite numerous tries to reach him through various media. John, if you're reading this, please get back to me, the project is scheduled for a March '09 completion thanks Bill K phone: 714 418 7723

I have dealt with Dimetri several times in the past, but John came highly recommended, and, he was familiar with the custom grind I had on my cams.
