Hi Rob- I think you are talking about the fuzzy seal. It is held in with clips. The part # is 901 531 935 20 I tink Pelican has it for about $19.

Hope this helps.

Cooper

Cooper,

I removed the piece today; I will post a pic later; I do know of the piece you are talking about...but my bad...it isn't a fabric or cloth etc. It is a pliable piece that starts inside body where the door meets, right where the rear view mirrors begin. It is screwed to the body with about 8 philips head screws..

any help on where I can get a pair of these would be appreciated

Looking at my parts list here. Could it be the sealing rail? Its a strip with a sort of V shaped cross section that attaches to the door opening and runs from about the same level as the fender line to the back upper corner of the door opening. Held in with several tapping screws. It looks like its there to supplement the door seal in excluding water and wind. If thats the case the part #'s for the coupe are 911 542 403 01 for left one and 911 542 404 01 for the right one

That might be it...everything sounds right except for the v-shaped cross section...is there anywhere to see a pic?

Thanks for your help

just did a search on that part # with our host and its called an Upper Velvet Door seal here. Located in the Rear and Side Door seals section. There a pretty nondescript photo
