just did the same thing to my 75s. u use the same s/bar . what i did at first was cut off the old mounts on the steel x member and modify them (drilled holes and put a s/bend in them) but then i bought an 82 sc parts car and got the original mounts. it works the same way, its just that the steel x/member has the mounts welded on and the aluminum ones are bolted on. if you want e/mail me and i will ship you my modified ones.

sway bar
I must be loosing it. If you are installing a front aluminum cross member that must mean you have a 1964 to 1973 car, since they had steel cross members. The sway bar on those cars did not touch the cross member? What am I missing?
