I don't remember, but they are now customized by me. It wasn't plug and play. If you remember, look at them Saturday.

here is another source of LEDs that I used for my 73. www.v-leds.com I found them on eBay, but they have this site as well. Their brake lights are very bright. Another interesting product is the resistors for the directional lights. With a pair of these you do not have to change your flasher. Just build the resistors into the rear housing. You use these ONLY on the directional lights! and just need one set per circuit left and right. I wish I had seen this post before. I did essentially the same thing, but sort of made it up as I went along. I found a set of LEDs at a truck stop and that got me thinking. I had the car apart for paint anyway and I had one side market light not working and I knew the rest we dodgy at best. I kept the original sockets and just fixed them up. Next time i may just do away with them and make the conversion electrically more solid. By the way V-Leds also has some cool Xenon v-Hid kits for headlights....

Well, my tail light housing won't hold the bulbs tightly so i was thinking about replacing the holder part. I saw superbrightleds.com has the ba15 wired sockets so has anybody tried them in the 911 housing?

No. Not unless those behind you have the visual acuity of an owl or other bird of prey. The IP bulbs are quite dim relative to regular DOT-spec bulbs. Have you tried pulling the bottom contact of the socket outward a little? Some have tried depositing solder around the bulb base to increase the OD slightly. Sherwood

Reviving an old thread... I'd like to convert my 81 930 to LEDs - at least for the signals and brakes. Should be identical to a 911SC in this respect. According to the schematics, these cars use a 4 pin flasher relay. See: http://www.pelicanparts.com/911/911_parts/Electrical/911_electrical_78SC_USA.pdf The extra pin seems to be required for the indicator lamps in the dash. So I don't see how a 3 pin flasher can work without rewiring. Has anyone found a decent source for the electronic flasher relay? Or... How did you get it going with a 3 pin relay?

Nobody? Anybody? Okay... Comparing the schematics from an 1981 to an 1985... On the '81, the dash indicator bulbs are tied to pin C on the flasher module - presumable so they can indicate some sort of failure? On the '85, the C pin is not used and the dash indicator bulbs just go to ground... So... I presume I can just reroute the lead from pin C to ground and use a regular 3 pin european flasher module? Here goes...

Geez, hard to say, I don't think anyone has done this, just take care, and let us know the results. We assume you have some electrical back-ground to attempt this task, right?
