I'm in the early stages of preparing a D Stock PCA racer out of a 1980 ROW non sunroof SC. Here's a few shots, but I still have a long way to to go. I'm about to order a front mounted oil cooler and front bumper for the next phase. I hope to be on the track with it this fall.

What exhaust tips/silencers are those? They look great.

Hi Steve,

Those are Supertrapps...available in a wide variety of sizes and finishes...they are not as loud as megaphones but they ain't exactly quiet....

In PCA stock classes f/r bumpers are free, that would be a real good place to start, use a front bumper w/ oil cooler provisions. The change in dynamics of the car from just this change is remarkable

Thanks everybody, I think I will start with a front oil cooler and front and rear fiber glass bumpers.

Dave, where did you get your bumper?

Thanks

More pics on the other laptop. At what point does it stop being a 3.0/SC?

Mine's coming along. I just did the bumpers and oil cooler about 2 months ago.

Before

Here are the bumpers when I got them in very used condition.

Glass and bondo work done and primed.

Installed with a Setrab 72 row cooler and tow hooks.

It's coming along slowly.

Great looking car. I really like the blue/polished Fuchs with the clean, simple white body and stealthy black trim.

I love the white/blue

Next step is the tail, a light all f/g tail on the stock lid or for big bucks on an al. lid.

wow, there are some hot cars on this thread... I hope you will all register these fine SC's on our new SCWDP registry. Trying to build up a very large SC registry. Email me for details.

Love that red and blue car. Those wheels sure set it off. And the white car looks like someone knew what they were doing with the prep work.

Cheers!

Thanks. I've always preferred the Carrera tail to the Turbo but the car came with the Turbo and it's been at the bottom of my priority list thus far. What kind of aftermarket tail were you thinking of? Pics?

Besides esthetics, the oem tails are heavy mostly because of the p/u lips that the sun destroys.

I put a Shaw RSA on mine
