I'm looking for suggestions on how to easily instal the boot. The standard answer of 'use a mustard jar lid' does not work with the jars in Canada.

I used to rebuild my A & M sized Porsche calipers once a year due to heat damage from track use. Seems every year one of the guys in our local group says they find a puddle under the front of the car at the end of the year. Heat gets the best of these front calipers after about 6-7 track days and the seals begin leaking.

Brake cooling or regular inspection is a must with these cars if you track them hard!

His price was great and the work was excellent. S calipers have a higher market value than A or M calipers. The brakes work smoothly and forcefully. They can be modulated better and the pedal is positioned better for throttle blips on downshifts.

I will PM you with the price I paid.
Most calipers don't have that finish to begin with, so spending however much he charges is a bit of a waste. I got rebuilt front calipers from somewhere I'd have to look up, but it was way less than $70 each without the core charge. I rebuilt the rears myself and I thought the slightly higher price for the rebuilt ones were worth it versus the extra labor.

Don't forget to replace the flexible hoses and think about replacing the 28 year old master cylinder...
