A cat bypass, adding a second tail pipe on the passenger's side, and a custom SW chip adds about 26hp. The second tail pipe can be hidden under the car or matched to the original.

I just did the cat bypass and chip and I do not think it is louder to any degree.

The SSI's are a work of art, make the same peak HP and add a little bump in HP right at 3500rpm. With the oil lines and new muffler needed it is a bit pricey.

I'd recommend SSI's and a wong chip. It will make a huge difference! Glad to see you having fun with the car. In my view the 3.2 is one if not the most reliable 911 engines. I have a friend who has one with 300,000 miles on it. Good luck.

I'm sticking with teemfee - leave him alone he's doing a fine job, and drilled door handles are plenty cool.

I think speedo would argue with that as well as I his build is one of the best on this forum bar none.

Not my car but same B&B exhaust and sound. When it is back together with the Bursch cat bypass I'll post a video.

update

cat bypass delivered and going on soon

Speedo without KPH markings will be back from Palo Alto next week. I am putting the white LEDS in the instruments. They have been ordered from Superbrightleds.com

The tranny is going back together and motor back in with new Sachs Power clutch and factory flywheel.

I the repro factory RS style dead pedal has arrived and will go on. I know it looks like a cheap peice of stamped tin but that's all it was.

It's looking like it will ba back on the road before New Years just in time for my week off.

I hate to agree but your right. Like you said though to each their own but you should get a Pontiac Grand Am and throw your money away on that.
This is going to be one of those cars you see parked and you walk up to and say "oh man he ruined this car."
But hey more power to ya, it's yours.

Pontiac Grand Am? They're only yellow head light lenses that can be removed like your gotee, but hey, more power to ya!

Totally right. 15 minutes and the car looks like a black 3.2 with 7's and 9's. What's the big deal?

I like yellow lenses as a rule, but I do agree the plastic ones tend to be a bit overstated. The rest of your mods are sensible though. Not sure where the negative comments are coming from.

Without the chrome ring, it won't stand out as much.

That sounds pretty good. How loud is it in the car at a constant RPM? Something a guy (or gal) would get tired of in 50-100 miles?

Merry Christmas
Thanks

With just the B&B it's not bad at all. I tooks a 3 hour trip (one way) this summer and didn't listen to the radio at all, just the car. I've had exhausts that do wear on you so I know what you mean but at modest rpms it's not noticeable really and it sounds so good on the cam so to speak I loved it. I think the Maxspeed exhaust bypass might change that but that's what I am hoping for...........

Speedo before and after

Jsr got it back from Palo Alto and really like it. Odo and trip fixed and face rescreened to clean it up - took off all KPH markings and re-calibrated it for 180mph - a little wishful I know but I like it.

Hopefully the car is done tomorrow and I'll try to get the LEDs in the gauges over the New Years holiday and an audio clip of the cat bypass and B&B exhaust.

Speedo LEDs and Maxspeed Cat Bypass

Not sure about the LEDs yet. Not a great photo but the white LEDs look very blue and a little out of place. They also seem not to spread the light as well.

I'm not sure if it's the cat bypass and B&B or the lack of sound insulation in the engine bay but it's load. My guess is it's the combination of all three. It definately feels more lively in mid to high rpms.

Oh, and the yellow headlights are very bright.

How do I make the driving lights turn on with the running lights or run them as day time running lights? Now they only tuen on with the headlights.
