Werkz 906-001 in progress!

Hello,

At the 2009 Monterey Historics we will be unveiling the new Werkz 906. An exact copy of the original Porsche 906. It's been approved by Wayne to use this forum to show the progress of the first car being built.

To answers some inquiries... We are building three cars at a time. Chassis 906-001 will be our demo car and be at the Monterey Historic races this summer, 906-002 is sold and 906-003 is available for $119,000 USD. It will be completely finished and painted in any color of your choice. Due summer of 2009. All you will need to to is supply is any 911 motor (up to 250hp), a 914/901 transmission, axles and battery. ~ Enjoy.

Group buy?

I would love to have one but I don't think my 6'3" frame will fit. Of course, my budget won't either.

+1 What Jamie said, I have the 6'3" problem and the budget problem too, but if I could find a remedy for both of those I would have one of these in my stable pronto!

Very nice.

I also suffer the 6'3" problem but unlike Jamie who is thin I am not.

Look forward to seeing more as it develops.

Yes, we are still alive and well. Just finishing a silver "Vic Elford" tribute Martini 917. Next is the 908/2 (not for sale).

To eliminate a lot of calls... A completely assembled, painted 906 is $119,000, and $139,000 for the 917 (Australian dollars). These prices do not include the engine, transmission or shipping from Melbourne.

shipping from Melbourne... that must cost at least as much as the engine.

I'm sure we'd all drool over some photos of completed cars Randy. The website only had work in progress shots(906 section).

Gracias
