OMG... I hate to say it but this is funny!!!

OK, I haven't been on here for a while because I've been so swamped, but Shane just talked me into reading this and I am actually about to fall out of my chair with tears streaming down my cheeks from laughing so hard. I think that's the newest order of business by the 32C guys. Keep the web geek laughing so he can never finish the site changes.

The site updates are close. Thanks for your patience, and many of you also for your input.

Also, thanks to everyone who has ordered the shirts already. We'll get them straightened out and on the way ASAP. As for the decals, we're going through right now trying to get caught up sending all of those to everyone. Again, I'm perpetually swamped, so I've enlisted my wife to help out with shipping. If you haven't gotten yours yet, rest assured they are on the way.

Domination is more work than Shane or I ever anticipated, but it sure is fun!!!

My contribution to the banter:

In 1984 the folks at Porsche were facing a dilema. With the world's highways getting more and more crowded each year and continued pressure from safety organizations, having a true sports car like an SC on the road potentially in the hands of an inexperienced driver posed too much of a liability for the company not to take action. They decided that only the truly skilled drivers should own a car such an the SC, but there was no practical way of discerning who those drivers were. The 915 transmission was an attempt to ensure that only skilled individuals could drive the car, but with altered bushings and a multitude of rebuild options available, more and more novice drivers were slipping through the cracks. So after a six year stint, the folks at Porsche decided that the raw power of the Super Carrera was perhaps more car than the world was ready for. They replaced the beloved SC with the bloated, milder, and yes better air conditioned Non-Super Carrera. The world's less experienced drivers were thrilled with the new gear box that required no skill to drive, even if it is heavier and less efficient than its earlier counterpart. Again, these aren't car people we were talking about, but instead the Vanilla Ice's of the world who cared more about appearance, not performance. A small horsepower increase, a few more luxury items and the they didn't mind. And so the Carrera line was born.

Maybe someday when the roads are again less crowded, and the population is filled with experienced drivers who truly appreciate the value of a real sports car, Porsche will bring back the Super Carrera. Until then, we will keep our original super cars alive forever via parts suppliers like Pelican (Hi Wayne!).

32C guys, welcome to the fray. Its great to finally have an adversary.

SCWDP Forever!!!

Ooh... sorry. I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers with that comment.

Vanilla , I saw the episode of Cribs and I know you still have the white Carrera, so in case you're following this thread from the 32C side, if you want to swing by and give my wife an autograph, I'll teach you to properly shift a 915 transmission so you can get a super carrera when your carreer turns back around.

Rolling in my 3.0, got my targa top off so my hair can blow...
(Sorry, I couldn't resist.)

Not to worry, I'm sure modern medicine has something to offer for your unfortunate condition.

One of those Perky products perhaps: Percocet or Percodan or somesuch.

Thanks, but I'm not worried about me. I hear Vanilla Ice has a really bad temper and a violent streak. I don't want our friendly jabs to turn bloody in case he's considering becoming a 32C operative. I hope you guys have some sort of screening process over there to help prevent that sort of thing.

Hey fellow SC'ers. I might be making these T-shirts soon

Sorry to thread jack, but I figured everyone here might be interested. send me a PM if you'd like a shirt and what size you are, just so I know what sizes to get.

And if I can get them done in time, they just might show up at the March 8th swap meet in SoCal.

If we're talking celebrity owners, you get Richard Hammond aka "The Hamster" and we get er, James May alias "Captain Slow".

Don't suppose there's any chance you'd like to trade?

Geronimo,

Sorry, but due to a recently hightened awareness of spelling issues, I am obligated to point out that you have misspelled "strangly"...

thats because his fingers were moving too fast.....symtom of being able to shift faster....also a result of excessive g-forces from superior acceleration and better conering properties....misspelling in this manor is acceptable...now if he didn't know how to spell CARRERA.....that would not be acceptable and he would be banned....so K.I.S.S......SC....

Good eye Shane!

Now where was that keen sense of grammar perfection a month ago?

Wait a sec... I was on the review squad too and I didn't catch it either.

Oh no!!! The fabled 32C mind control device must be real and its working on us!!!

I hear they developed it based on the mind-numbingly boring nature of the 3.2 engine.

(That comment should keep this thread alive for a while.)

OK... so I'm down at the local sports bar, enjoying a nice dinner with my wife when the Sports Center ad with the big red dot comes on the TV. My wife says "look, your SC thing is on TV" just as I'm thinking of the whole "Dumbinating Japan" thing posted earlier.

It was all I could do not to spray beer out of my nose.

Heyyy, wait a minute!

This thread now has all the funny posts and it keeps getting bumped to the top while the (clearly superior) 32C thread keeps dropping down to page 2.

Whose conspiracy is this again?!

Are you sure those misprinted tshirts were an accident and not part of an elaborate plot to make the SCWDP thread more entertaining?

Where's my tinfoil hat???

OK, boy, I can't believe I am about to post this here, but here goes...

I am kind of amused at the number of requests I have had from guys wanting to buy one of the, um, "collector's" edition SCWDP shirts... At first I thought everyone was joking, but now realize some of you were not at all. That said, we have decided to set up a new entry in the store at www.scwdp.com where these, uh, rather unique pieces will be for sale for a very short time... read that as Monday morning. I have to send the rest of the misprints back to Georgia and so I need to know by then how many are going back. Yes friends, it is not too early to think about that SC buddy of yours and what to get him/her for a gag gift for Christmas or whatever...

Bob is setting up the store info right now and it should be ready any minute. Heaven help us...[
