Plug for clock hole
I took the clock out during my race car build. I now need to plug the hole. Anyone have any brilliant ideas?

Why not go with an air duct? Reno gets pretty hot.

Or with a track car, you can even just run some of that spiral-wire-reinforced flex duct.

I recently saw that our host carries a digital air-fuel mixture gauge...looks cool and could be pretty useful as well. It appears as if it would be the correct size to replace the clock, but I haven't confirmed this.
Does anybody out there know more about this item? (Don't mean to hijack the thread.)

How about a small screen for the rear camera so you can see the cars that cant catch you.

Thanks guys! I think I will try the Ford air vent (I am tempted to just go out and pull one out of my Expedition). Simple, cheap, and it looks great.

I have a big red light, purchased for under $10... I think it is a generic truck/trailer part. It is connected to an adjustable oil pressure warning sender purchased from SmartRacing products. My engine builder is not a big believer in oil p warning lights as his experience suggests that by the time you see it it is too late. I believe that you know my engine builder, Paul... He does not like to wear ear plugs because he likes to hear the engine...
I got the light anyway because my wife insisted after her girlfriend (you know her too, Paul) had a kablamo experience that completely wiped out the motor in her car. When I started racing, I kept the clock in the car because it weighs almost nothing and it is really handy on the grid and on the track... helps you keep track of how much time is left and plan accordingly. Now I use a very small digital clock for the time. I find that I am checking it at about the 2/3 point, unless I am into it with someone. You might consider keeping the clock in the early days of your experience-building. I have a homemade plug somewhere if you decide to go that route. You can have it for free. - Mike

I agree with the big red pressure warning light, especially for a tack car. Don't remember where I bought mine.

Dave at TRE has a black plastic clock delete plate that looks just like an RSR piece as far as I can tell. Not cheap, but the right "look" if that matters to you.
