Tad, amazing as always man. I just got my doors in the other day and now on to the front half of the cage (don't want to cut up $$$ doors) and then on to the air jack system.

I really want to see you car in person man. I vote you finish it, then drive it to next years 12h of Sebring. This way you can stop at my house and I can see it. :) ;)

February marked my fifth year on this project and the list is getting alot shorter finally. Got all the water lines run for the intercooler and radiator, tank and pump. Need to run it and test for leaks.

Need to make raised cover with duct lines going to the naca ducts in the quarter windows.

Main Item Remaining:
Transmission: Hookup cv joints, clutch cable,omega spring, shifter linkage.

Engine: Fabricating the piping from engine to intercooler and turbo

Wiring: Using the ISIS intelligent multiplex system, solid state, less weight and wire, can do away with multiple relays and its very adaptable. Install time is shorter and much cleaner after the fact.

Over the last couple of years it was always the goal to get the car running by summer. Obviously I did not accomplish that but it kept me plugging along and this summer definitely seems like it might really be possible.

Decided to weld up a different bracket for my center oilcooler. Did no have good access to the oil lines for repairs. Made the bracket where it can fold out, good access for the lines etc..

Got started with the electrical system install this last week. The locations did not change much from my first thoughts except for the front cell which I made a bracket and center mounted, easier access.

Mastercell: The brain of the system, tells the powercells basically what to turn on and off.

8 gang switch panel, switch functions are programmable.

For a race application 8 switches is more that adequate, lightweight and only 4 wires to operate the functions. Small yellow cable from mastercell to switches. The whole ISIS system in the box was only 14lbs.

Megafuses: Megafuses protect the system. The large red wires are the power supply to the powercells.

Megafuse 4 ga wire feed needs to be as short to battery as possible.

Total of six wires on each side. Ten are for items to be powered and a black wire on each side goes to ground. Each items negative wire will go to ground as well. This is not a lot of wires to deal with and once hooked up and loomed should look nice and neat. Will post more after I finish the front wiring and get to rear powercell which will be bulk of work to be done.

To really set up the system the way you want and be able to make changes to the standard system you buy the incode programmer $180. Thank you for the link. A bit confused, this would not replace the main harness from the DME to the engine as well and the main engine harness will it?

Tad, the car looks great. You're making great progress on getting the cells mounted. This will be a very clean install when it is finished.

We'll get you some suggestions today on wiring your disconnect switch.

Yeah I have seen that - figured it was pretty overpriced for what you get. I had done some cardboard mock ups of the same things and thought fiberglass would be the easiest/lightest route just have not gotten around to making it yet. His looked to be metal - hence the question. But thanks for the info much appreciated.

Vent encloser is one from smart racing and yes I think they are no longer in business. Krogger you were asking about the DME and the ISIS system. The ISIS system would not replace your DME.

Hi Benno, very nice fabrication. So are you building a 934 or 935 replica or restoring a wrecked 934 or 935 to a replacement tub? Interested to so more of your project. TRE motorsport was making the fiberglass 935 fuel cell cover for the two front fuel cells if you need a source for that part.

I wanted to show you the amount of wire that we removed from Jim's 1999 996. We had this in a fish tank at our booth at SEMA last year.

When he installed ISIS in his Porsche, he netted more than 30 pounds of weight reduction in the car.
