The window stop needs to be adjusted so that it doesn't roll up that high. If you look down in the space that the glass slides through the top of the door you may be able to see the adjustment screw, I think I remember that it is a slotted screw.

First adjust the window stop. Take off the inside trim from the door . There is a slot in the door, when you wind the window up and down you will see an adjustment screw through that slot. Then you have to replace the rubber tips. You have to remove the window frames to disassemble it. The tips are held in by two copper rivets under the window felt and 2 screw at the top. Carefully drill out the rivets. Fitting new rivets is tricky as you need to slide a counter piece in to be able to flatten the rivet. I took mine to my porsche shop for help, then put everything back together. Not difficult but tedious.

+1 on instructions above.

I would also check the parallelism after correcting the stop.

I used and socket wrench extension to smash the new rivets in tight. worked fine.

If you need the Targa Top Manual and Sealing the 911 Manual PM me your email address and I can send you the pdf files.

Jim
