Cannot get my hard lines into the calipers
I know I should have done this while I had them off the car but now everything is mounted again. The small S-shaped hard line is impossible to fit into the caliper. I'm about to loose it.

At some poin along the line someone overtightened them and the ferrels are mushroomed. CAREFULLY grind the edge of the ferrel on the line and it'll fit ... it should reshape itself when tightened into the caliper and, TA-DA, problem solved.
Keep a watchful eye and if there are no leaks you're good to go; otherwise you will have to buy a length of tubing and "roll your own." |

Loosen the caliper bolts so the caliper can move a little, this should allow you to align the fluid line with the hole.

Tx guys, I just read in a different thread that the bleeding valve should be above which wasn't the case with mine. Took them back off and the lines do go in now. Last question. There's a long and a short part to this S-line, which one should be connected to the caliper? Tx again.

Garp, not sure if I'm following your question but IIRC there is a bracket on the rear trailing arm that sort of indicates how the line's installed. Not sure if you are doing the fronts or the rears though but I think it also has one way that's a better "fit".
Hope that helps, maybe there's a thread with a pic that could help you.

Tx Buck, looking at the PET the shorter part is on top at the connection on the strut (for the fronts) but I'm not sure about the drawing, haven't found any pictures yet.

Apparently I misread your question.
"Doesn't reach" ... not "doesn't fit." |

![]() I put them on top now (stupid me), any idea on the issue with the long and short side of the S-hard line. Am I correctly assuming the short part is on top, connecting at the strut?

I've had a thousand of those off and never paid any attention. I would guess that if you hold it both ways it will be obvious which way it will connect without bending the line. I do seem to remember that the short part does go to the strut, but if you put it on wrong it won't reach the caliper.

assuming i'm reading the question right the loosening of the caliper bolts will make the difference. be careful not to cross-thread.
