Did Fuchs make a 8.5 x 15 wheel?

Anyone know if Porsche made any 8.5 x 15 Fuchs rims for racing? I've got a set of four that are that size, and I'm trying to determine if I should sell them. I can't find a manufacturer ID on them.....just a load rating (1200lbs per wheel) and the size 8.5 x 15. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

AFAIK thy did not. Sizes starting at 7" should be 7", 8" 9" & 11". There are a lot of wheels that have been cut and welded over the years to make other sizes or turn a narrow wheel into a wider 8, 9 or 11 but no 8.5".

All Fuchs alloys should be clearly marked on the backside to width. They should read 7j, 8j 9j or 11j. If they read any of these numbers and are a different size odds are they were cut and welded.

Hope this helps.

8 inch Fuchs will measure about 8.5 inches at their widest. The 8 inch measurement is the "rim width", measured between the beads.

Must be Fuchs replicas...8.5 x 15

thanks for the input. Sounds like they are replicas....I forgot to add that they have a V cast into each spoke on the inside of the wheel.
I've got four, taken off of my 1969 930 clone, as I replaced them with 16 inch BBS wheels. I plan to list them on Ebay...any suggestions on what I might get for them? I'd like to post a Buy It Now price and best offer, but I want the BIN price to be right. They are in good shape. I'll probably sell them in pairs.

They are definitely not Fuchs but you should be able to get some $$ for them. Hard to tell in this economy but I am guessing about $600-800 for the 4.

I sold my RS clone with factory 8's and 9's. I figured the wheels were worth at least $1500-2000 for the set min. The new owner tried to sell them on ebay and ended up letting them go for $1200 for all 4 after 4 or 5 tries.

OK, I will - Welcome!

I had a set of those back in the day. 8.5 x 15 replica Fuchs made by a company in Italy.
Nice wheels.

great idea, Welcome. BTW, those look like nice rims, knock-off's or not.

How about some pix of the rest of the car?

Thanks for the welcome.....and the info on the replica fuchs I want to sell. I went to 16" BBS wheels. Per your request, here are a couple pics of my car. Steel fender flairs and custom fiberglass bumpers. Hope you like the body mods on this 912
