Flush mount rear window pics
I have a 1991 964 turbo. I am thinking about going with a flush mount rear window. Does anyone have pics so I can see if I want to go this route?

Jack Olsen has one. You can do a search for his photos.
You can get the parts from TRE Motorsport. (Dave Bouzaglou's username here is "TRE Cup")

flush mount
this is mine... i bought the lexan and installed myself..not the best but good for my street car.....up high weight reduction to help offset the purported higher center of gravity of the dart all aluminum 434 cubic inch sbc making almost 600 chp.

I got mine from Spektr Products. I spent about 6 hrs installing it. I used a glazing tape between the frame and the body to try and get it water proof, still leaks. I thought there was about a 10 lb. weight savings. O.K. for a race car but wouldn't do it on a street car.

Hey Gumba do you think it is possible to hide the screws and make it look like a stock style mount? I have not seen exactly how it mounts so I cant tell

The plex came mounted in a frame from Spektr. The screws are used to attach the unit to the body. I also added a few aluminum screws to the top corners to hold the plex tight to the body. You could try mounting it with a fastener epoxied to the inside of the frame. But then I would add 2 aluminum bars top to bottom to make sure it didn't blow out.
I did the same thing on the rear vents. I bought the frames from Spektr and bought 3/16" plex locally. I installed the frames to the body, then the plex. The door windows and vents are also 3/16" plex. Painting them flat black would make them disappear. This is a street legal race car that we transport on an open trailer so I was trying to get it water tight. plex. ![]()

In a road car with potentially closed doors and windows and a functioning ventilation system, what happens to the egress of cabin air through the top vents above the rear window? That vent is now covered by glass, right?

Found a quarter view of my car showing the flush mounter rear window.. I got mine from GT Racing...
The fit was pretty good, just needed a little grinding and tweaking to install ![]()

Jack your window looks a little different. I cant see the screws you used to attach it? Do you have any closer pics? Car looks great! Here is a pic of mine. The rear window looks bad to me after I discovered the flush setup
