shelf identification

Does anyone know what year or model this shelf belongs to?
Currently it is in my 79sc but it is not the correct one. Anyone recognize it?

thanks
Justin

Not sure of the year (or if it matters) but that looks to be a rear panel from a targa rather than a coupe. Those in the know can confirm or correct.

I thought it looked like an aftermarket type that allowed larger speakers to be used.

I pulled it out at lunch time and there was no markings on the back of any kind.
I was guessing it may be for a Targa as well but would like to have that confirmed. I
am going to purchase the correct unit for my car and will need to get rid of it at some point.

Thanks
Justin

The grain in the vinyl appears to be consistent with late 70s, early 80s pattern. My 1980 911SC has the exact grain to the vinyl. My '79 930 had the same hole pattern to the rear speaker shelf as the one pictured.

One thing for certain.

It's a coupe.

Check the side window in the upper pic (top).
