Testing Andial splitter?
The old splitters had a switch so you could switch between the lower and upper plugs for testing, mine does not have this switch, what the best way to test? Pull the power wire off one coil? Years ago I just pulled the coil wire to the dizzy and this blew out my splitter.

You could do the old school method by pulling a plug wire off a spark plug, attaching a spare spark plug, ground it to the chassis, and have someone crank the motor for a few seconds. You should see a spark. A spare wire makes this easier for testing the lower set of plugs. Good luck!

I know both sets are firing but I wanted to check each set under a load just to make sure there no coils, wires or plugs breaking down. I called Andial and they said to just unplug the igniter on the unit. I did that and test ran it separate on both uppers and lowers and they were just fine.

Thanks. I'm trying to decide whether to use this or an XDi setup for twin plugging. I'm tired of mixing 100/91 octane to keep my SW chip in place, based on its current setup. While the idea of some adjustment appeals to me, I'm probably better off leaving the decision on my tuning to someone such as Steve W, so I don't fry something. It seems the Andial setup is conducive of this.

Don't forget, you can tick your timing down a few degrees and increase the fuel a bit using the switch on the motronic box.
