I'm sure this will be an extraordinary rendition!

Just an FYI....there are currently 3 different posts on the for sale boad (A/C, Bumper, Fender and rocker) for all the parts that have been removed so far....soon to come Interior (seats, door panels, console) I need to get pictures of that stuff.

Well...I got my bumpers in and rough installed. The guys at TRE make a great product. It took much less time than I expected to get them installed. The hardest part was getting the exhaust cutouts made in the proper location...my brother was a huge help with the measuring and final fitting....I also got the console removed. Looks much better in my opinion. Now it goes to Holt Wheels to have the rear flares installed. Can't wait to get it back so I can start on the rest of the body work.

Just got back from the shop....John and his guys are doing a fabulous job of getting the flares installed. He had to weld a flange on the bottom of the flare in order to give ample room to bolt up to the bumper. All the holes in the rockers have been filled. Now just some minor damage to be repaired on the rt front fender (damaged in shipping) and I will be getting it back to start on my body work in preperation to paint.

Just found this thread Don, wow. The car looked awesome originally. And it will look even better with that fat arse you're putting on her. Great work. Can't wait to see the final rendition.

Don,

Are you painting the entire car or just the flares and fenders?

This reminds me of the last winter when I spent several Saturdays up there.

:Looking good.

Phillip

The whole car will be painted.....I was not happy with the repaint on hood from a previous body shop repair....and the ducktail paint started to show some glass pattern so I decided to do the whole thing. I will bring it home from Holt Wheels and do at least the remainder of the prep....if not all the refinish....a lot depends on weather and cash flow.

stormmaster 02-05-2010 10:25 AM

The latest update....The bottom of the car has been painted with Rustoleum Satin Black, wheel wells have have also been painted....nothing fancy just wanted to clean up the bottom just a bit before I started on the body work and repaint....the last coup pictures are my wheels at Tru design...becoming 17x8 and 17x9.5...
