Its all a matter of custom offset wheels. I didnt want to use spacers and I wanted something deep.

spence88mph 02-26-2010 01:46 PM

I agree they look super deep.

looking forward to seeing the IROC bumpers go on, thanks for the kind car words.

Buck - let us know if you are serious about heading down - you should coordinate it with our monthly gathering at the Avenues,we will save a spot for you. Hell, you can crash in my guest room if you need. - Farrell

And thank you both for your kind words. Mark you are more than welcome to come down....if you do...try to make it on the first Sunday of the month so you can go to the local cars and coffee....Several of the local Pelicanites show up for it.

That would be a cool road trip. I would plan it around your monthly get together.

Farrell, thank you for the kind offer and if I do make it down I will take you up on it. :)

Mark....I will be up in Norwich sometime in May for 3 weeks of training for the company I work with. Maybe we could get together one evening.

Buckterrier 02-27-2010 04:40 AM

Don that's awesome, (I take it you found a job?). But one night?? I think not!!! I few at minimum.

stormmaster 02-27-2010 05:33 AM

Yes...I found one with Gunther International....ok....a few it is. You can direct me on the cheap places to eat.

Don, Thanks for posting an update with your wheels. They are beautiful and I can't wait to see your work of art completed. Are you running 225/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear?

That's an understatement - last count was 24 Pelicans who have attended. A great showing - I challenge any other local monthly gathering with the same number!

I can't wait to see the finished product - looking good!!

I cant wait either....work on water sanding starts in full swing tomorrow.

stormmaster 03-09-2010 01:07 PM

Initial water sanding has taken longer than expected....but the results are pretty good. Hopefully one more pass tomorrow and then a few coats of high build primer.

Very cool Don, is going to be friggin' awesome. Drive her to Ct when you have to come up.

stormmaster 03-09-2010 02:20 PM

You will have to wait to see it when you come down....I will be flying up unfortunately.

stormmaster 03-23-2010 10:48 AM

Well....Its time for another update. The initial sanding is complete. The car is all wrapped up and ready for its first coat of primer. The weather has finally started to cooperate. If all goes well the next few days are going to be pretty busy...tomorrow is initial primer day....they block...then prime...then block again...hopefully then seal...then paint...and clear...and lots more blocking. Cross your fingers for me.

stormmaster 03-23-2010 07:27 PM

stormmaster 03-24-2010 02:06 PM
