bcketner,

Air over the car can only create lift if air is also allowed under the car. The wing theory is only good if air is flowing equally over both top and bottom. A car does not have good flow across the bottom especially with an air dam. If the flow under the car is reduced or eliminated the flow over the the top of car will be down force.

The workmanship is excellent. The project looks like a lot of fun! Keep us posted! The thought of a blow over makes me chuckle.... That big V8 in that 2800 pound car should keep a smile on your face.

Welds are killer-diller. Sure wish I could do that. What type of engine management will you use for this?

I think you want the air that travels under the car to be as smooth and as fast as possible. the hope is to create a low pressure area under the car compared to above the car.

Update!

-Nothing.

Haha. I keep getting PM's about updates so I figured I would keep everyone updated. I'm just cleaning up some electrical stuff, replacing the fuse panel etc.

Got my eye out there for an LS1 and read to get that and start working on some cool stuff, so I'll keep everyone posted.

Thanks for the teaser picture!... So help us out here.. Do you know where the donor came from?
I am sure there is a long list where GM placed these motors - I can only think of a few:
97 Vet
98-2002 Camaro

Any Mods planned for the LS1 motor? 320 Hp looks like enough HP to get you in trouble.....

OK MBaran,

Its time to pick up the pace Holley LS Fest is in September. It would be a perfect cross country break in drive for your LS 964.

OK, I'm shamelessly trying to gather other LS 911 conversions to show up. Hope to see you there.

Mike

Yes, finally!

Here is a short video of it starting.

I just ordered a rear bumper and rockers for it. The exhaust is a temp setup until I can get it to the shop. Straight headers into a pair of Flowmasters.

Turn up the volume on this one!

Congrats, another victory for making Germany quicker

Seen your message and Kentucky sounds cool but a far, I think we should show up for the monthly cars and coffee meet they have in the bay area. Or you could take a short trip to my house again and make me jealous

Bump!

Got the fuel pump and regulator installed, and ran both coolant lines to the engine compartment.

Update: Removed 40 years of "extra" wiring. Wires that went no where, relays that were disconnected, a clifford alarm from 1984, etc. I've filled a trashbag with old wires/crap. Someone even used speaker wires at one point for some of it that wasn't speakers.
