Angry Crashed my P-car on a first date

Yep, first date. The road was wet and narrow. I don't usually take the car out on rainy afternoons but, it was a first date after all. She said she wasn't afraid to go fast so had to find out if she was telling the truth. Pretty stupid, but hey, that's what insurance is for right? We started fishtailing and I stayed on the throttle until we got too close to the guard rail on the right then I had to put on the brakes. We hit the dirt wall mountain on the left. I buckled the front end, spun around and hit the rear. We probably hit the wall going 15mph (she thinks we were going 30mph) then we spun and hit the rear right corner. The amazing part is I drove it home then we went out for dinner and shots and ended up having a pretty good date . So HA!

The insurance Co claimed it as totalled so now I have a race car build on my hands and am looking for a new date car heheh. Unless anyone wants to buy a slightly used Porsche 911SC? I still can't believe I drove home. These cars are tough.

Dam that looks bad.... But as long as you and the girl are OK nothing else matters.

Will there be a second date?

We already had a second date, and a third. She was definitely my main concern. Cars are expendable but body parts are not. She is having back problems and the doc has her on muscle relaxers and pain killers. She has another doc visit on tuesday so we will see how she is doing then. I really really hope she doesn't have permanent damage. I on the other hand just got a bruise from the seat belt (she thought it was a hickey) and had a slightly sore neck but wasn't really hurt. I think she may just have a pulled or sprained back muscle, but i'm definitely no doctor.

Looks like the car and the gal may both be keepers. Maybe not in that order, depending upon ones perspective ....................

It may have been fun but if that was my Pcar I would be crying in my beer.

I hope your girl is OK. That's the most important thing right now.

You are bragging about crashing your car?

You should be glad you didn't hurt anyone else(besides maybe your gf).

Pretty stupid move, IMO.

If she's not hard on the eyes, here's what you do:

1. Hit her with a club-like object to make sure she's really hurting before the next appt.
2. Let her file a claim with the insurance company for all sorts of bs related to the wreck.
3. Marry her, wait for the ins. settlement and buy a Carrera GT or the like (like an orange 912 993 TT look).

Glad it turned out okay- I've known these cars were tough since a certain British television host dropped one from a crane.

Sort of a strange attitude you are taking with one less classic car in the world. Please slow down next time.

I hope your girlfriends injuries turn out okay...

Don't feel too bad. I did something similar in September. On a third date.
Rain. Corner slick as snot. Crap tires. Not going fast, it just slipped out and kissed the curb.

I'd say your date is right. You didn't hit dirt at 15mph and whack the front end up like that. Even when I'm on a track in the rain, I don't screw around, its not worth this outcome.

"Guy", not "guys".

I said I don't screw around, I didn't say I did get some speed out of the girl in the rain. It's all about smoothness, and no abrupt throttle or braking, which wasn't applied in this case. Rainy DE's are great learning environments.

I know. I'll never drive a porsche in the rain again, I think that was the first mistake leading to this result. I hope everyone else can learn from this too. It gives me a whole new respect for those dirt rally drivers.

Definitely going to do some more DEs once I fix my ol' girl. She's down, but not out.

x2. there is no way all that damage was from a 15mph crash, unless what you hit was doing 35+mph.

Dude, are you sure your girl is not dating the doctor???
Glad you are both OK, and don't let that stop you from driving a Porsche in the rain; these cars love that ****! Just learn to smooth your motions on the wet.
