Thanks for the pics .
Will go take another look later for a blob like that , but looking yesterday I did not see any markings at all . One difference I do notice on the inside of yours is the tabs where it bolts to top of lid are molded in . On mine it has the normal factory brackets . As I said The x93 turbo s rear is a totally unique design on the inlets so needed a one piece grill , And your pics show the shroud is different too which I did not know Lightwieght rear seems pretty much stock as far as I can see . It’s like they got a Turbo tail and fitted a Carrera rubber , then made a mould of it . I bought a 930 tail when I bought the lightwieght tail And compared side by side . Was a very long time ago and I don’t have photos or measurements, but they seemed identical apart from PORSCHE was embossed in the 930 iirc . All stock parts on the inside of mine , but I do remember the shroud was loose on one side . Uses stock bolts and rubber to bolt to stock 965 tail too . I’ll revisit this thread with any new info when it’s bacK from paint and I’m building it up again before install . In the meantime , if you find any new info let me know and I will edit what I have . There was a story going around England in the 90s that nick Faldo got his wife mad once and she took one of his golf clubs and smashed up his turbo s lightwieght  EDIT : Photos added of porsche museum car displayed at lemans a few Years ago . http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1598630706.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1598630706.jpg |

I know this is an old thread, but wanted to check in if there was any further wisdom on the origins of the early turbo tails with a tea tray spoiler lip? There was a theory that they were to meet German regulations of the time, but they are so rarely seen I find that hard to believe. Dimensionally it doesn't look feasible that the tea tray lip would be a compatible fit for the earlier tails either.
If someone has a definitive answer or part number for these lips I would be interested to know. There is this example currently for sale on Ebay and I have picked up a much rougher version of the same configuration so I am interested to know what I have.
