Look what I got!!!

Now all I need is some decent weather, and an M&K.

Just wanted to put a shot up and give praise to the masters at SSI (John) for the incredible craftmanship. I almost hate to put them on my car, they're so pretty.

Mike,
Shot you an email.

Embracer,
Good one! If it's any consolation, I wiped the counter with the rag in the bucket of bleach water on the counter next to the SSI.

Before or after you sat the SSI down?

I bet it was before.

I have done a couple of car projects in the back of the restaurant, but never on a prep table

Very pretty indeed. And it's a shame depending on the car it's going on that side you pictured will have to be hammered for clutch spring clearance. Hopefully not but I had to do it to mine.

WILL84911,
It's an 83 SC. Not sure what I'll have to deal with when I get to getting these on. Hopefully a clutch adjustment, maybe a little grinding, folding of the lip, we'll see I guess? I figure enough people have put them on that it can't be too big a deal, but yes, it'll be a damn shame if I have to blemish them in any way.

As for the SSI in the Kitchen thing, no worries, that isn't an area where food is prepped. It's the front of the line where the servers pick up food off the shelves.
I do all my automotive work in the prep area so I don't get the clean areas dirty

I'll be trying to catch up with Ben at M&K tomorrow to discuss muffler options. I REALLY want one of the Sport style or GT3 style mufflers. I know I'll have to hack up my rear valance which I have no issue with, my car's a driver. I am a little curious about this "droning" and such people complain about, as well as the noise level. I'm not a tunes guy and I enjoy the sound of the engine, but I don't want to go deaf.
I've listened to the sound clips. I've heard people love their dual outs. I've heard people say they were too loud and took them off. I'm afraid the only way to find out is to get one and see what it's like, no?

Mickey - I can't believe nobody has offered a solution to your quandary yet. So just send them to me - I'll put them on my car!

Yes, they look nice, but I sure wish they were easier to install (i.e. better access to the studs). The SSI wrench is useless for all but one or two of the exhaust nuts.
