Brake system warning light after bleedeng clutch.
Hey all,
So I finally got the 911 back on the road! The last thing I had to do was to bleed the clutch due to the new slave cylinder I installed. However now my brake system warning light is lit! I tried jiggling the two wires that are attached to the reservoir but it didn't help. I've tested the brakes themselves and they seem fine and the clutch shifts great now. Where should I look next? Thanks in advance, Michael

just a couple of thoughts...
Can you remove the reservoir cap and test it with a meter? Fluid level ok? good wire connection on the spade lugs?

Thanks for all the advice! The car does have 4 new pad sensors, I put them in about 6 months ago when I changed the pads. The fluid level is at max and I think I'll try testing the cap on a meter. What should I be looking for as far as readings at the cap? If that is the problem ( I'm leaning that it might be) can you get a replacement cap by itself or do I have to blow a bigger wad and get a new reservoir?
Thanks again, Michael

Next question - is there a "reset" switch on my master cylinder and if so, how do I locate it. Forum was split 50/50 on the subject when I last asked this question. Car is a '75 S targa. Thanks, John, your contributions to the forum are truly appreciated. ![]() --- Tom '75 targa |

I didn't have much time this weekend to trouble shoot it any more than doing the battery disconnect so I'll have try the multi-meter another time.Michael
