Carrera 3.2 engine won't stop after switching off

The engine starts without problem, runs fine, but will not stop after the ignition switch was turned off. I disconnected the wire connector from the electrical part of the ignition switch but the engine continued running. The problem was intermittent and in one instance the engine suddenly stopped when I happened to turn off the fan switch of A/C in the central console.

Any advice? Thanks!

Swap out the relay for the AC and see if it goes away.

Thanks! The AC has been removed long ago but I'll check if there is any residual circuit left.
Please follow this problem on another same-titled thread as this one was incidentally duplicated.
