A/C Evap Blower Motor question
I did do a search and couldn't come up with the correct part number, need a little help.
I think I have been sold the wrong part 130-007-081 is the motor for the "BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY for FRONT A/C CONDENSER" which is located nearest the front bumper on my 87targa? I was looking for the motor for the fan that is in the smugglers box, does anyone have a part number for just this motor as that is the only part needing replacement. OR can the fan motor that I have be used for the A/C Evaporator? Anyone in need of a new Bosh 130-007-081 |

No you can't use the motor for the front condensor fan on the evaporator. The evaporator housings changed over the years so different model years have different blower fans.

I'd be interested to know if a replacement motor exists for this application. I have an 88 and could not find any replacement for the motor so I spend a couple of hours cleaning the old one with various products. It actually runs fine now but I'm not sure how long it will last...the upgraded fan sold by Kueh(?) does not work on the 87-89 Carerras.

Yes, forgot to mention that I'd seen the whole assembly but it would be nice to just r/r the motor. Even better would be for Kuehl to offer their upgrade fan for the post 87 Carreras...hint, hint, begging! LOL

Well, I haven't been able to work on it this weekend; health issues
once again hold me back..... Anyway, I'M GOING to just replace the motor! No matter if its offered or not.... I'm sure something on the motor will clue us in on who makes it and what else it may be used on. I'm quite sure it has got to be used on something else throughout the world. I simply cannot afford to pay a couple hundred dollars for its replacement, I don't get enough dis- ability to start with.... I've got to find another way! Even if it means I have to run a sewing machine motor I will. 86 911targa, That isn't really a possibility, it was purchased on ebay. I will just offer it for sale or keep it in the event the other fan takes a dump.... |

The motor is available from Pelican here:
Pelican Parts - Product Information: 911-624-906-00-M100 Or you could advertise in the used parts forum. Lots of people have removed the AC from their cars and this stuff comes up for sale all the time.
