These are all incredible cars. Thanks everyone for sharing thus far.
Question to those of you that have made the transformation: What was the most costly part of the process? -or- What was the most difficult obstacle to overcome? |

My wheels were the most costly part.....The most difficult part was deciding to do it....then see it through as it took longer than I wanted. But I did it all myself....Had I farmed it out to a shop to do the labor would have been far beyond my pocketbook. I did mine on an extremely tight budget.

Seriously though. Not having the knowledge and getting the wrong advice. Taking people at their word and not researching the facts. This cost me alot of time and money!! Have a definate goal and plan for your mods. ie engine g/box wanted. body type ( targa, coupe, sunroof or not) width of finished product. This will give you a base car to start with. The better the car here will save you plenty in the long run including time. Dont worry about losing "the one" get it checked out properly there is always another deal! Regards |

As you mentioned His race engine went to another car! I did however get him to build a 3.2 and 915 for this car. It has the coil overs and brake bias adjustment along with a few other goodies. He is running a 993 now and he is as fast as ever. not bad for a pentioner!!! ![]() ![]() |
