Looks more like a Blue to me, although bit hard to tell from that pic.

Is there no paperwork/option sticker that shows the colour?

Cheers,

Geoff.

That's definitely not Lhasa green on the rear seats there. I recognize it, but I'm blanking on the name. Argh.

If I think of it, you'll find out first.

I don't think that code is 8787.

Instead, the only '82 paint code with a "7" that I can find is U7 U7, which is the code for a '82 Coupe, in Black Metallic.

The only standard greens for '82 that I can find are Mint Green (Targa paint code M1 V9, Coupe M1 M1) and Moss Green Metallic (Targa paint code Y8 V9, Coupe Y8 Y8).

VC = beige leather interior for '82.

As Tim mentioned, the handwritten paint code could easily be u7u7, although it is a strange looking "u" and doesn't seem to appear black in the photos.

But I do feel that it's written U7U7 in your manual.

Do you have the sticker under your hood with all the option codes?

The chart below is from paintscratch.com.
I would vote for Minerva Blue or Light Blue Metallic.
Although there doesn’t appear to be a correlation with any of the documented codes.

And after looking around, that 924 that is being used as an example of Lhasa green is actually pretty faded. Lhasa is much deeper than that is.

Well, now is your chance to paint the car whatever color you want. You can tell the concours judges: "Original color- see, look at the color code written right here."
