Anybody got any parts for H-4's I need the outside trim rings with the adjusting screws still in there and the springs that attach the light housing to the trim ring. I need these for my HID projector project but don't need the whole headlight assembly as I am using the VW part that also fits these rings for a cleaner look. Thanks in advance.

H4 Headlight rings
Here are some potential H4 rings for this project. I'm posting them here since they weren't making it by e-mail.

Thanks Jeremy they are exactly what I need email sent I just ordered the VW headlight buckets and I need to check on the driving lights to see where they are.

Well I have been doing some research and I think these are the projectors I will be going with they are more expensive then the original kit I had picked out but they use denso ballasts and phillips bulbs which are known brands. Tell me what you think. They will for the most part look like lateapex's lights I even managed to get the same driving lights in a blue ion bulb and these will mount on a plate I will attach to the headlight buckets.

This looks like a nice setup. When I was looking for a set they di not have them, so I went with the BMW e46.
What do plan for the shroud around the HID? I build a box and cut a hole to fit the complete lamp, and vacuum formed the shroud from plexiglass, and painted it silver. Cheers |

Ok now I need input what kelvin lights would you get and why: 4300k 5000k or 6000k
|
4300K, our sun's primary color, human eyes have had eons to adapt.
|
Please post pictures of how you mount these projectors into the headlight bucket. If someone has figured out how to make a well engineered design please share. I think such an item would be very marketable.

your eye should think that the light is neutral, and compared to the surrounding lights of civilization and other cars, those are just too blue/purple. I think the bluer ones have less actual lumens as well. |

yea, LOL. I THINK he's referring to the natural color temp of daylight. Which varies, of course, depending on time of day, etc etc. I think 5K is considered 'nominal' daylight, and 6500 to 8K is considered "northlight" by photographers. Which is the light coming from the sky, as opposed to the sun. Its most noticeable as the blue tone in the shadows of snow scenes. |
